About Scenic PM

Founded at the Intersection of Two Industries

Scenic PM was built by professionals who have spent careers on both sides of the construction-fabrication divide.

Why Scenic PM Exists

Complex specialty projects, museums, theme parks, immersive environments, visitor centers, sit at the intersection of commercial construction and scenic fabrication. Both industries are highly skilled. But they speak different languages, operate on different schedules, and measure success differently.

That gap is where projects get into trouble. Contractors don't always understand what scenic fabricators need. Fabricators don't always understand how construction schedules work. And owners often lack the technical expertise to bridge the two.

Scenic PM was founded to solve that problem. We bring deep experience in both commercial construction and scenic fabrication to every project, serving as the translator, the coordinator, and the risk manager that complex specialty projects require.

Ryan Masching

Owner & Founder, Scenic PM

My career has been built around managing complex projects and solving the problems that come with turning ambitious ideas into finished work.

My background began in commercial construction and progressed through field supervision and project leadership before expanding into the specialized world of scenic fabrication, themed environments, exhibits, and custom-built installations.

Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to manage and contribute to projects for some of the most recognized organizations and brands in the world, including LinkedIn, Nike, Kennedy Space Center, the NFL and MLB, Universal Studios, large and small market museums and aquariums, cultural institutions, and numerous television, film, entertainment, and immersive-environment projects.

That combination of construction and scenic fabrication experience is what led me to create Scenic PM. Scenic projects don't always fit neatly into the traditional construction process. They often involve one-of-a-kind fabrication, unusual materials, specialized vendors, complicated interfaces, tight schedules, challenging installations, and scopes that may be unfamiliar to a traditional construction team. Scenic PM helps bridge that gap.

My approach is practical and solutions-driven. I understand schedules, budgets, contracts, vendors, subcontractors, fabrication, logistics, field conditions, installation, and the coordination required to bring all of those pieces together. Most importantly, experience has taught me where projects tend to go wrong.

My goal is to identify those issues early, ask the right questions, bring the right people together, and develop workable solutions before small problems become expensive ones. Whether Scenic PM is managing an entire specialty scope or providing targeted expertise at a critical point in a project, the objective is the same: reduce risk, improve coordination, solve problems, and help deliver the project successfully.
